Angkor Wat is a massive temple complex located in Cambodia, Southeast Asia. It is one of the most important and famous archaeological sites in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Angkor Wat is renowned for its stunning architecture, historical significance, and cultural value.
The temple was originally built in the 12th century by the Khmer King Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu. Later, it transitioned into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. The name "Angkor Wat" translates to "City Temple" or "Temple City."
Start your day with an early breakfast at the hotel before heading to the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple. With a knowledgeable guide and skilled driver, you'll beat the crowds and explore the temple's three levels, admiring the intricate stone carvings depicting Apsaras.
Next, visit Srah Srang, the royal pool where King Jayavarman VII bathed in the 12th century. Take a leisurely stroll through a nearby village and enjoy a unique high tea and picnic breakfast in a local house. Experience the warm hospitality of the hosts as they offer fresh fruits, snacks, coffee, and hot tea.
Continue to Ta Prohm, known as the "Tomb Raider" temple, where nature and ancient architecture coexist in harmony. Marvel at the captivating sight of tree roots embracing the stone blocks. With fewer tourists, you can truly appreciate the magic of this place.
Return to the hotel for a self-guided lunch break.
In the afternoon, explore the mysterious Royal City of Angkor Thom. Admire the 50-tower temple with its enigmatic faces. Walk along the forested wall, passing the Death Gate and visiting the Terraces of Elephants and Leper King. Learn about local trees and fruits as you visit Phimeanakas and Baphuon temples. Conclude the afternoon with a visit to the iconic Bayon temple, renowned for its carved faces.
End the day by witnessing a mesmerizing sunset from Phnom Bakheng, offering a panoramic view of the Western Baray and Angkor Wat.

Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, we will embark on a delightful boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake. As the largest permanent fresh-water lake in Southeast Asia, it eventually merges with the Tonle Sap River, which then joins the Mekong River in Phnom Penh.
During our Angkor tour, we will have the opportunity to witness a unique sight: a fishermen's "floating village." This remarkable village floats on the lake and features various amenities such as floating schools and even a floating police station. It's like a large village that moves from one location to another, adapting to changes in water levels and currents.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
