Mua cave unique spot provides an extraordinary panoramic view of Tam Coc from above, showcasing the magnificent landscape of limestone mountains and expansive vistas. Mua Cave is a tourist spot situated in the core area of the Trang An World Heritage Site in Ninh Binh province. It boasts distinctive geological features and characteristics of the limestone mountains that have existed for millions of years. The highlight of Mua Cave is the beautiful scenery along the pathway leading to the Mua Mountain summit, featuring nearly 500 stone steps.

According to local folklore, the name Mua Cave has ancient origins. During the reign of King Tran Thai Tong, when he visited the Hoa Lu region, he often came here to listen to the melodious tunes performed by beautiful women, dancing and singing. Mua Cave also served as a unique name for one of the most peculiarly named locations in Vietnam. Moreover, the cave beneath the Mua Mountain was, in ancient times, a mobile hospital for treating and sheltering wounded soldiers during the war to defend the homeland.

From My Dinh or Giap Bat bus station in Hanoi, take a bus to Ninh Binh, costing around 120,000 VND for a 2-hour journey.

By motorbike

Travel from Hanoi to Ninh Binh via Highway 1A, then follow the signs to Trang An and turn right. Continue on Road 491C until reaching Khe Dau Ha village, from where Mua Cave is easily accessible.

By train

Travelling to Ninh Binh by Train

Trains from Hanoi to Ninh Binh take approximately 2 hours, and from the Ninh Binh railway station, you can take a taxi or motorbike taxi to Mua Cave.
