Vietnam Entry Visa Exemption for 45 Days.

Vietnam extends the visa exemption to 45 days for citizens of 13 countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the stay.

The resolution takes effect on August 15, 2023.

Additionally, Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP introduces e-visas for foreign nationals, listing entry and exit border gates. These resolutions replace prior versions and are effective from August 15.

Starting today, Vietnam is offering electronic visas (e-visas) to citizens from all nations and territories, with an extended duration of 90 days, up from 30 days.

The following visa durations apply under the latest regulations:

SQ-sign visa: up to 30 days

HN, DL, EV visas: up to 90 days

VR visas: up to 180 days

NG1, NG2, NG3, NG4, LV1, LV2, DT4, DN1, DN2, NN1, NN2, NN3, DH, PV1, PV2, TT visas: up to 1 year

LD1 and LD2 visas: up to 2 years

DT3 visa: up to 3 years

LS, DT1, DT2 visas: up to 5 years.
