The 9-Day Cambodia Tour: Angkor, Battambang, Kirirom & Koh Rong Sanloem takes travelers from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh through Cambodia’s ancient heritage, rural communities, mountain landscapes and southern coastline. Begin with sunset at Phnom Bakheng, followed by a comprehensive exploration of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Banteay Srei and Ta Prohm.
Watch sunrise from Phnom Krom before continuing to Battambang for the Bamboo Train, traditional villages, local food production and the evening bat spectacle at Phnom Sampeau. The journey proceeds through Kampong Luong Floating Village, Kampong Chhnang’s pottery community, Chambok Waterfall and the pine forests of Kirirom National Park. Two nights on Koh Rong Sanloem offer a relaxing coastal interlude before a guided evening food tour in Phnom Penh.
Combining guided sightseeing, road transfers, speedboat journeys, selected meals, authentic local encounters and scheduled leisure time, this itinerary provides international travelers with a varied and convenient introduction to Cambodia’s history, landscapes, communities and island atmosphere.
After breakfast, meet your guide and driver at approximately 7:30 am for a full-day exploration of the Angkor Archaeological Park. Begin at Angkor Wat, entering through the quieter East Gate and continuing through the temple complex before exiting from the West Gate. Admire its monumental architecture, different temple levels, intricate stone carvings and graceful Apsara figures while learning about Khmer history and civilization.
Continue through the South Gate of Angkor Thom to visit Bayon Temple, renowned for its monumental stone faces. Your guided exploration also includes Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure and the Terrace of the Elephants, providing further insight into the history and significance of Cambodia’s former royal city.
Lunch is served at the peaceful garden home of Mr. Peout and Mrs. Gin, where you will enjoy a homemade meal and hear personal stories about Cambodian life, including their experiences during the Khmer Rouge period and the years that followed.
In the afternoon, travel to Banteay Srei, admired for its finely detailed carvings and distinctive red sandstone architecture. On the return journey to Siem Reap, visit Ta Prohm, where enormous tree roots intertwine with ancient stone structures. Conclude the day with an included one-hour traditional Khmer foot massage before returning to your hotel.

Depart early with your guide and driver for Phnom Krom, located south of Siem Reap. Watch the sunrise over the surrounding rice fields and Tonle Sap Lake while enjoying a picnic breakfast on the hillside. Afterwards, return to your hotel to freshen up, check out and begin the approximately two-and-a-half-hour drive to Battambang.
Upon arrival, visit a traditional Khmer house and learn about its architecture and cultural significance. Enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant before checking in at your hotel.
In the afternoon, travel along the Sangker River and walk through a local village with traditional stilted houses and tropical fruit farms. Depending on seasonal availability, you may taste locally grown oranges and pineapples while observing families producing rice paper and traditional rice whiskey.
Continue to Phnom Sampeau, a limestone hill featuring a pagoda, caves and panoramic views across nearby villages, rice paddies and sugar palm trees. At dusk, watch thousands of bats emerge from the cave while enjoying an included beer or soft drink, then return to your hotel.

Begin the day at approximately 6:00 am with a ride on the famous Battambang Bamboo Train. Travel aboard a motor-powered bamboo platform along the railway tracks and enjoy open views of rural villages and rice fields. Afterwards, return to your hotel for a late breakfast and check out.
Continue to Kampong Luong Floating Village in Pursat Province, one of the largest floating communities on Tonle Sap Lake. Explore the village by boat and observe the daily routines of Cambodian and Vietnamese families living in floating houses, where boats are used to transport residents, goods and supplies.
Return to the mainland and enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant in Pursat before travelling onward to Kampong Chhnang, a riverside town known for its traditional pottery production.
Visit a local pottery village to observe techniques passed down through generations and learn more about rural livelihoods with assistance from your guide. Depending on the activities taking place during your visit, you may also see villagers collecting or processing palm sugar before continuing to your hotel.

After breakfast, leave Kampong Chhnang and travel through landscapes of rice fields, palm trees and sugar cane plantations toward Kampong Speu Province. Stop at Te Teuk Pus Natural Hot Spring in Oral District, a distinctive natural site surrounded by grasslands, reeds and red rock formations.
Continue to the Chambok Ecotourism Community, where an included lunch will be served. Afterwards, take an approximately two-kilometre trek to Chambok Waterfall, a natural attraction originating in the Kirirom mountain area. Comfortable walking shoes, sun protection and sufficient drinking water are recommended.
Travel onward to Kirirom National Park and check in at Vkirirom National Park Resort. Your guide will arrange a local motorcycle taxi ride through the pine forest to Thmor Loy, a hilltop viewpoint overlooking the surrounding woodland. After the visit, return to the resort and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, continue exploring the mountain landscape of Kirirom National Park with a visit to the former King’s Residence, where your guide will introduce the history of the area.
Leave the national park and travel toward Sihanoukville, Cambodia’s principal coastal city. Enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a short drive through the city before continuing to the boat pier.
Continue to Koh Rong Sanloem by speedboat. Upon arrival, the Eden Resort team will welcome you at the pier and assist with check-in. The remainder of the day is free for independent relaxation in the island’s peaceful beach setting.

Enjoy breakfast at the resort before spending a full day at leisure on Koh Rong Sanloem. Relax on the beach, swim in the sea or enjoy the tropical surroundings at your own pace. No guided sightseeing activities are scheduled today.
Optional activities such as diving, boat trips and hiking may be arranged directly with the resort staff. These activities are subject to availability and are not included in the tour cost.

After breakfast at the resort, board the speedboat back to Sihanoukville. Upon arrival on the mainland, enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant before continuing by road to Phnom Penh.
After reaching the capital, check in at your hotel and take some time to refresh and relax following the journey.
At approximately 6:00 pm, meet your guide and tuk-tuk driver for the included Phnom Penh Evening Food Tour. Begin at a riverfront bar with an introduction to the evening and a refreshing drink, then continue to a lively night market to sample Cambodian-style seafood.
The tour continues to a local venue featuring live music, passing the illuminated Independence Monument before concluding at a stylish bar with views over Phnom Penh. The experience includes your guide, tuk-tuk transportation, selected food and complimentary drinks. After completing the sightseeing program, return to your hotel.

Start the morning with breakfast at the hotel, then check out. At the scheduled time, your driver will collect you from the hotel and transfer you to Phnom Penh Airport in time for your departure flight.

The tour begins at Siem Reap Airport, where you will meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel in the city. Early check-in is not included and remains subject to room availability. On Day 9, the journey concludes with a scheduled transfer from your hotel in Phnom Penh to Phnom Penh Airport for your departure flight.
The full-day Angkor program includes Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure, the Terrace of the Elephants, Banteay Srei and Ta Prohm.
