Upon arrival at Techo International Airport, meet your local driver and transfer to your hotel in Phnom Penh for check-in. Early check-in may be arranged depending on room availability but cannot be confirmed in advance.

The remainder of the day is free for you to relax after your journey or begin exploring Cambodia’s capital independently at your own pace. All meals today are at your own arrangement.

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your local English-speaking guide and driver and begin a full-day exploration of Phnom Penh’s cultural and historical landmarks. Start at Wat Phnom, the hilltop temple closely associated with the founding of the Cambodian capital, before continuing to Wat Ounalom, one of the country’s most important Buddhist monasteries.

Next, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, where your guide will provide sensitive historical context about the former S-21 detention centre and the Khmer Rouge period. Lunch is included at a local Khmer restaurant.

In the afternoon, explore the Royal Palace and the adjoining Silver Pagoda, two of Phnom Penh’s most significant architectural and cultural landmarks. Conclude the day at the National Museum of Cambodia, home to an extensive collection of Khmer sculptures, ceramics and archaeological artefacts. After the sightseeing programme, return to your hotel.

After breakfast, leave Phnom Penh and begin the overland journey to Siem Reap. The drive covers approximately 318 kilometres and usually takes around six hours, excluding sightseeing and meal stops.

Along the way, stop at the Spider Market in Skun, where you can observe an unusual selection of local snacks and regional produce. Continue to Spean Praptos near Kampong Kdei, one of Cambodia’s best-preserved ancient stone bridges. Stop for an included lunch along the route.

Upon arrival in Siem Reap, check in at your hotel and enjoy some time to rest. In the evening, experience a traditional Apsara dinner show, enjoying your included dinner while watching a performance of classical Cambodian music and dance.

After breakfast at the hotel, set out with your guide to explore the highlights of the Angkor Archaeological Park. Begin at Angkor Wat, Cambodia’s most iconic temple complex, where you will discover its grand galleries, symbolic architectural levels and intricate carvings depicting Apsaras, Khmer history and Hindu mythology.

Continue to Srah Srang, the former royal bathing reservoir, and nearby Banteay Kdei. Walk through a local village and visit a local home for a Khmer-style high tea with light refreshments, offering a closer look at community life around Angkor. The morning concludes at Ta Prohm, where enormous tree roots stretch across the ancient walls and courtyards, creating one of the most atmospheric settings in the Angkor complex.

An included lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, enter Angkor Thom through its monumental South Gate. Walk along a section of the ancient city wall toward the quieter Death Gate, then continue to Prasat Khleang, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Complete your exploration at Bayon Temple, renowned for its towers carved with numerous serene stone faces.

Toward the end of the day, continue to Phnom Bakheng for the opportunity to watch the sunset over the Angkor landscape. Sunset viewing is subject to weather conditions, visitor limits and site access regulations. After completing the day’s activities, return to your hotel. The evening is free, with dinner at your own arrangement.

Today involves extended walking across uneven stone surfaces, forest paths and temple steps. Comfortable walking shoes, modest clothing covering the shoulders and knees, drinking water, sun protection and light rain protection are recommended.

After breakfast, depart early for a guided excursion to Kbal Spean and Banteay Srei, beginning the forest walk before the temperature rises.

The moderately challenging trail to Kbal Spean takes approximately 40 minutes each way and follows an uneven jungle path with several narrow and steep sections. At the top, discover the ancient riverbed carvings known as the River of a Thousand Lingas, together with representations of Hindu deities and sacred symbols created during the Angkorian period to sanctify the flowing water. Afterwards, visit the nearby waterfall.

Continue to Banteay Srei, a beautifully preserved 10th-century temple celebrated for its elaborate pink sandstone carvings and exceptionally detailed decorative work. Lunch is included and may be served as a picnic near the base of Kbal Spean or at a local restaurant, depending on operating conditions.

In the afternoon, visit Banteay Samre, a peaceful temple displaying many characteristics of classical Angkorian architecture. Stop at a local village to observe aspects of rural Cambodian life before continuing to East Mebon and Pre Rup in the eastern section of the Angkor Archaeological Park. After completing the visits, return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

This is one of the tour’s more physically active days. Sturdy walking shoes, drinking water, insect protection and suitable clothing for heat, humidity and possible rain are strongly recommended.

Rise early and travel with your guide approximately 13 kilometres south of Siem Reap for a sunrise experience at Phnom Krom. Walk up the hill and watch the morning light spread across the surrounding rice fields and countryside before enjoying an included picnic breakfast on Phnom Krom.

Continue to the Chong Kneas boat landing and board a local boat for a journey through the Chong Kneas floating village on Tonle Sap Lake. During the cruise, your guide will explain how local families adapt their homes, transportation and livelihoods to the lake’s seasonal changes.

After leaving Tonle Sap Lake, visit an Artisans Angkor workshop to learn about traditional Cambodian craftsmanship. Return to your hotel, where the midday period is free for you to have lunch at your own arrangement, rest or enjoy the hotel facilities independently.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., meet your guide and scooter driver for the journey to Krabei Riel Village. A tuk-tuk can be arranged for guests who prefer not to travel by scooter. Pass local vegetable gardens and rice fields while observing weaving activities and everyday village life.

Continue to the family home of Mr. Ron, where you will tour the garden before joining Mrs. Sina for a hands-on Cambodian cooking class. Learn to prepare three traditional Cambodian dishes and enjoy the meal you have created as your included dinner. After saying goodbye to the family, return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

The morning climb at Phnom Krom includes steps and uneven surfaces. Comfortable footwear is recommended, and extra care should be taken in wet or low-light conditions.

The remaining balance is due at least 10 days before departure.

6–10 days before departure: 50% of the total tour price
3–5 days before departure: 75% of total tour price
