This is a rewarding but fairly full travel day, as it combines a high-mountain excursion with the return transfer to Hanoi. Comfortable walking shoes and a light jacket are recommended, especially around the Fansipan summit area where the weather can change quickly.
Your guide and driver will take you to the Fansipan Cable Car Station to begin your cable car journey to Fansipan Mountain. Take the scenic cable car ride over the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, with sweeping views of forested valleys, terraced hillsides and cloud-covered peaks.

After the trek, transfer to the Cham Stream area for lunch at a local restaurant or community-based venue. After breakfast at your hotel in Ninh Binh, depart for Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s oldest national park and one of Northern Vietnam’s most important biodiversity areas. This road transfer normally lasts around 1.5–2 hours, depending on your hotel area and traffic conditions.
Upon arrival, visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, home to rare and endangered primates such as langurs and gibbons. Continue to the Turtle Conservation Center, where you can learn about efforts to protect threatened turtle species and support wildlife conservation in Vietnam.
After the conservation visits, continue deeper into the national park for a guided rainforest walk. Depending on the selected route and local conditions, you may visit prehistoric caves, limestone formations, tropical forest trails and ancient trees, including the famous 1,000-year-old Cho Chi Tree.
