Angkor Wat, an extensive temple complex in Cambodia, is a globally renowned archaeological marvel and UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II, it was initially a Hindu sanctuary for Vishnu but later became a Buddhist temple. "Angkor Wat" means "City Temple" or "Temple City."
After breakfast, your private guide will accompany you to explore the impressive "Great City" of Angkor Thom. Highlights of the visit include the renowned Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas Temple located within the Royal Palace enclosure, Baphuon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. You will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Built in the 12th century, this architectural masterpiece spans an area of approximately 210 hectares. It features numerous galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, and water-filled ponds. The intricate low-reliefs depict stories from the Ramayana and provide insights into the daily life during the time of Angkor's construction.

After breakfast, the Angkor Wat Tour will take you to the captivating Banteay Srei temple. This temple stands out with its intricate pink sandstone carvings that adorn every available space, making it truly unique.
Next, you will travel by car to a chain of hills. After approximately an hour, you will reach a location near Kbal Spien, where the journey continues on foot along a white sand path that leads into the jungle. This pleasant walk through the beautiful forest should be noted for its occasional narrow and steep passages.
After about 40 minutes of walking, you will start hearing the sound of a waterfall. Initially, this place may not seem particularly remarkable, aside from its natural surroundings. However, during your 5-day exploration of Cambodia, you will discover that the riverbed and rocks are adorned with carvings representing gods from the Brahma religion. These carvings, dating back to the 11th century, include sculptures of Vishnu, Lakshmi, Hanuman, Rama, and numerous Lingas. These stone carvings were created to sanctify the water and express gratitude to the gods. The sound of a small waterfall will entice you to follow the river further into a small gorge. Using bamboo stairs to navigate a few steep passages, you will eventually discover the stunning waterfall.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch at the foot of the hill or have lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, you will visit Banteay Samre, a temple renowned for its elaborate architecture and exceptional carvings.
